God gives Cities

Acts 8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.

God wants us to have the city. God has always allowed His people to go in and take the city. God loves giving cities to His people. In 2021, I want us to start thinking with this mindset (Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.). I believe God has given us a mission to take cities in the United States. We will go into every state and plant as many churches as possible so we can fulfill the apostolic mission God gave the apostle Paul.

  • Acts 26:I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.

In order to take a city we must:

Sow the Kingdom. This means we go into a city and give people the gospel of the Kingdom and the demonstration of the Kingdom. We not only preach but we lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, baptize, and perform miracles under the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.

“If we sow the Kingdom we will reap the city”.

When we go into a city we must plant powerful congregations and position those people in every sphere of society. We want God’s people everywhere! In the judicial system. In the educational system, in politics, in sports, owning many of the businesses in the city, and the list goes on. This is how you take a city in modern times. We position the church EVERYWHERE.

We must plant multiple churches in the city and then place those people in society to build relationships, win people to the Lord, and get those who are getting saved back to the congregation for discipleship making. Repeat this process over and over and you take the city for the glory of God.

  • PROVERBS 29:2 KJV When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

No one wants wicked people ruling. The righteous should be the greatest influence in any city. We must plant powerful churches and launch Christ-centered businesses. We must become mayors, judges, lawyers, school teachers, coaches, principles, and get in places where we can make a difference.

God gives us the city but we have to go in and receive it or take it into our possession.

  • Deut 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

  • Joshua 6:2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

God gives us the land. He gives us cities. We just have to follow His specific instructions on how to take it (Read Joshua 6). God wants His people to be the light and salt. He wants us to rule. He wants us to take over. We must think like dominators. We must know who we are in Christ. We are not cowards who are in the background. No, we are AMBASSADORS (2 Cor 5:20)! We are the light and we are supposed to be shining bright! He has given us the land now let’s take it for His glory!

Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
